Microsoft Insider program testers can now download a version of Windows 10 that should only be released to the general public by 2020. The company typically delivers two major updates per year to the W10. And the one that is already in testing would be the version for the first half of next year.
As a result, the company “jumped” its natural order. As the update of the second half of 2019 has not yet appeared for download at the Insiders headquarters. The version that the company must present even in the first half of this year is already being finalized. Being almost ready for launch to the general public.
According to Dona Sarkar, the team leader who takes care of the Windows Insiders test program at Microsoft, this 2020/1 version would have arrived in advance for testers because it requires more community assessment time.
The 2020/1 version would have reached testers in advance because it requires more community assessment time.
The download is only available for the fastest ring of Insiders updates. To download, make sure you are in the program and configure the downloads for the fastest ring.
However, there is no new tool or function specified for this early software package. In other words, we do not know what exactly needs to be tested so far in advance.
With the 2019/1 update of Windows 10 almost ready to go out of the oven, Microsoft should begin releasing the 2019/2 tests for the Insiders as early as the second quarter of this year. When that happens, we do not know what the latest test will be, the second of 2019 or the first of 2020.
