An impressive video appeared on Twitter to show off a supposed foldable Xiaomi cell phone that already seems to be quite functional. The device’s format appears to be more interesting than the one shown by Samsung at the end of last year. Perhaps putting the Chinese in front of the world’s largest handset maker in this segment.
It is interesting to note that the video was published by Evan Blass. He is the famous information flier also known as @evleaks. However, Blass himself does not confirm the authenticity of this little clip.

In the video, you can see the device completely open. It has the user navigating through an app grid and then opening Google Maps. The smartphone seems to work very well. Next comes the surprise. The handset can be folded in three parts, leaving the central portion of the display functional for use in folded mode.
Are we seeing the first really useful folding smartphone? Give your opinion in the comments section.
