The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode makes it easy to view videos in WhatsApp mobile versions. It has just been expanded in the web edition of the messenger. Such a feature is responsible for miniaturizing the video displayed within the chat when the screen is slid. This allows the user to follow the discussions of a conversation without ceasing to watch the images.

Until then, WhatsApp Web’s PiP mode worked only for video files sent directly by the messenger. Now the same feature works for videos hosted on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Streamable, as the WABetaInfo website reveals. And it will let the user even change the chat while continuing to watch the video.
The feature is present in version 0.3.2041 of the WhatsApp Web. And it will arrive in the next update of WhatsApp Desktop. If your Web version is not yet enabled, try using the Ctrl + F5 shortcut to refresh the page. Or clear the browser cache manually to access it.
