After retreat on closing physical stores, Tesla presented on Friday (15) its new electric SUV Model Y. The vehicle will be launched in four versions. Each will have a space for up to seven people. The four versions will be Performance, Long Range AWD, Long Range RWD and Standard.
The first – and most sophisticated – of the line is Performance. With two engines and all-wheel drive, it will be able to reach from 0 to 96 km / h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of over 241 km / h. The factory autonomy is 450 km with a recharge.
The Long Range
The Long Range is divided into two variants. The one with two motors with all-wheel drive (AWD). And with a single engine and rear wheel drive (RWD).
All-wheel drive (AWD)
AWD reaches from 0 to 96 km / h in 4.8 seconds and exceeds 217 km / h. Moreover, it has a battery with a duration of 450 km.
Rear wheel drive (RWD)
RWD takes more time to reach 96 km / h (5.5 seconds) and has a lower maximum speed (209 km / h). But it achieves better autonomy (483 km).
Finally, the Standard is the most basic of the family. It presents maximum of 193 km / h and needing 5.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h. To complete, it is the one that stays the least time without needing a recharge: 370 km.
The more sophisticated versions – Performance, Long Range AWD and RWD – will only be available in the second half of 2020. However, Standard will only arrive in the first half of 2021. Check prices:
- Performance: US $ 55.7 thousand (~ R $ 214 thousand)
- Long Range AWD: $ 46,700 (~ R $ 179,000)
- Long Range RWD: US $ 42.7 thousand (~ R $ 164 thousand)
