The new electric car of Nissan’s Leaf line reaches the public with greater autonomy and more powerful engine. The Leaf e + comes with a 62 kWh battery. It should ensure travel up to 358 km before recharging is required. The new 160 kW electric motor offered a 10% gain in power, resulting in a top speed of 158 km / h.
In addition to these new features, Nissan maintained the e-Pedal , which guarantees the functions of accelerator and brake on the same pedal. It also has the CHAdeMO standard to ensure faster recharging to the vehicle. According to Nissan, charging from 20% to 80% takes about an hour and a half, using a 50 kW charger. It also comes with Apple Car Play and Android Auto as standard items.

ProPilot steering assistance technology also becomes a standard item. The new ProPilot system features 7 cameras, 5 radar sensors, 12 sonar sensors and a high-definition 3D navigation system. All this to ensure more safety with the system of autonomous driving on highways.
The Nissan Leaf e + was announced in January and reaches the public costing € 40,379 (about R $ 194,740) in its most basic version. Nissan had already pre-sold 8,000 since the beginning of the year when it introduced the model. Sales are already available through the company’s website.
