Starkey Hearing Technologies is a company specializing in hearing solutions. Researchers there have developed a device that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize its efficiency in helping people with disabilities in this area. The Livio AI brings interesting features and can also detect the fall of the elderly.
Various organs and systems maintain the body balance. The labyrinth in the ear is one of the main organic sensors for maintaining our balance and hearing. When we get older, there is a natural deterioration. And therefore there comes extra worry about possible falls of people of old age. As such falls can cause fractures, among other problems.
The Livio AI can send notifications to a cell phone registered when the person falls. It is possible to cancel this alert if she can get up with some agility. The device quickly translates a conversation into 27 languages in audio and text. And it connects to the Thrive app to monitor the user’s physical and mental ability.
The gadget comes with a processor that can improve sound quality. This includes noise reduction and audio playback with media pairing. It can be programmed remotely. Thus it avoids travel to a clinic. The Livio AI also features a built-in utility that evaluates health from body, brain and well-being scores.
The product was recently presented in Foz do Iguaçu. It should be soon in the national prataleiras, still without price forecast.
