WhatsApp released yesterday (03) a small but important update for users of iOS. You can now add one more layer of security to Apple devices. You can do this with the blocking of access to the messenger via biometric recognition. Either face, via Face ID, or fingerprint, in the Touch ID.
To use the feature you need to open the app Settings. Enter Accounts, then Privacy. And then find the option in Screen Lock. After that, every time you open WhatsApp you will need to authenticate the session with the identification of your face or your digital ones.
Note that home screen notifications and quick responses continue to be used. Even without biometric confirmation, if these tools are enabled. The update is available in version 2.19.20 , which can be found in the App Store .
For now, there is no preview of launching the feature for Android.
