Instagram is testing a new feature that allows the playback control of videos posted on the social network. The novelty was discovered by hacker Jane Manchun Wong. She is known for discovering tools and application features that are still in the testing phase.
Instagram currently offers few control options for the videos that appear in the feed. In addition to turning off the sound, you can play the recording again. But this requires watching the video from beginning to end. The new control will allow you to move forward or back to any point, just like in the YouTube or Netflix applications , for example.

In addition to this control, Wong discovered other news that may soon come to Instagram, as an alert message that appears whenever the user tries to publish something that the social network considers offensive. “We are asking people to rethink similar comments to others that have been reported,” the notice said.
For those who use two-factor authentication ( and you should do so ), Instagram tries to allow access to be released using a trusted device. That way, you will not need to ask for a code when you are using the selected device.
These functions are still in the testing phase and have not been officially announced by Instagram. For now, there is no forecast for when we can see the news in the stable version of the application.
