Before you can edit PDF files, you should be able to open them in some type of application on your PC or laptop. If you do not have a PDF editor, you can also convert it to Microsoft Word format. Here are some free options to do it.(Of course, not all PDF packages are expensive, and there are some free options.)
Get a free trial version of Adobe Acrobat DC
More accomplished than any of the free online options mentioned below, Adobe Acrobat DC is one of the most complete PDF editors you can find.
No, it is not free. But it is a unique PDF that is worth it if you tend to handle a lot of these files. In addition, there is a free seven-day trial.
Once the software is installed, open the PDF and click on the ‘Export PDF’ tool in the right panel. Then choose Microsoft Word as the export format. Click on ‘Export’.

Convert PDF to Word using the Google Drive
Nowadays it is very common to have a Google account, but if you do not have one yet, you can click on this link to get one for free.
Google Drive is part of the suite of free services offered by cloud storage and applications for your text documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

Go to Google Drive, sign in and click on the ‘+ New’ button. Select ‘Load from file’. Find the PDF on your computer and double-click on it to import it into the unit.
A pop-up window in the bottom right corner confirms that your PDF has been uploaded – touch the file name to open a preview of that file.
At the top of the window there is an option to ‘Open with Google Docs’ – click on that option.
Once opened in Docs, you will notice some changes of format and it is probable that the images will be eliminated (the other online options listed below are better to deal with these aspects). But the text must be present and correct, and it can be edited as desired.
You can continue working on that document in Google Docs or click on ‘File Menu’ and choose ‘Download as> Microsoft Word’.

Open your browser and go to PDFtoWord.com. Click on ‘Select a file’ and search for the PDF on your computer. Enter your email address below and click on ‘Convert now’.
Wait for the email with a link to download the Word file to land in your inbox – it will not take long.
