First, we open the Spotify application and go to the ‘ Library ‘ section. Within that section, we select the ‘ Settings ‘ button identified by the gear icon located in the upper right corner.
Once inside this section we will see that all the configuration options are listed. And we choose ‘ Music quality ‘ or ‘Music Quality’.
Then, we select the quality of streaming music that we want to use. At this point we can choose between several options, such as:
- Automatic or recommended configuration , which makes adjustments automatically according to the bandwidth that we have available and other options.
- Low configuration , equivalent to 24 kbps.
- Normal configuration , equivalent to 96 Kbps.
- High configuration , equivalent to 160 kbps.
- And, finally a very high configuration that is determined by the 320 kbps.
Depends on the use of data
It is important to emphasize that in making these changes must take into account that these can affect drastically our plan of data, since the higher the better fit will be music, but also apply in reverse.
Features that at the end will not matter so much if we have a Wi-Fi network or an unlimited bandwidth connection from where we can handle a faster download rate.
